Dorothy May Hunt

Mrs. Dorothy M. Hunt, 79 of Warren passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at St. John Macomb Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1932 in McGregor, Michigan to the late Grant and Mahala E. (Webster) Riehl. She married Gerald Hunt on June 12, 1954 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1979. Dorothy loved country music and she loved to sew, draw, paint and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, Debora Hunt of Sterling Heights, Linda Spicuzza of Pt. St. Lucie, Fla., Larry Hunt and his wife, Brenda of Warren, Terry Hunt and his wife, Toni, of Fraser, Garry Hunt of Warren; 7 grandchildren; three sisters, Beulah Denton and her husband, John of Texas, Mary Lee Almas and her husband Bud of St. Helen, MI, Judy Gillig of Mt. Clemens; two sisters-in-law, Barb Riehl of Clinton Twp. and Faye Osentoski of Ubly. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and William Riehl. The funeral service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 24 at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Pastor John Rapson will officiate. Burial will be in the Elkland Township Cemetery in Cass City.
