Mr. Richard A. Lamke, 76 of Ubly, passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his residence after a long illness. He was born January 6, 1935 in Parisville to the late Lawrence and Theresa (OParka) Lamke. He married Barbara Nelson on October 20, 1973 at the Ubly Presbyterian Church. Richard liked to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Richard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara of Ubly; one son, Richard Lamke of Ubly; three step children, Carol Strong and her special friend, Earl Hallitt of Atlanta, Georgia, John Strong and Mark Strong, both of Ubly; one grandson, Michael Strong; two brothers, Elmer Lamke of Ubly, Eugene Lamke and his wife, Mildred, of Parisville; two sisters, Arlene Longuski and her husband, Jerry and Evelyn Susalla, both of Ubly; his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, infant, Raymond, Irvin Lemke and his wife, Irene, Cass Lamke and his wife, Ruby; one sister, Mary Peruski and her husband, Frank; one brother-in-law, Jake Susalla; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Lamke. A memorial mass for Richard will be held at 11 am Friday, November 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. Rev. Peter Nwokoye, pastor, will officiate. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 am Friday at the church only.
