Twila L. Shatto

Twila L. Shatto, 73, of Sandusky, formerly of the Pontiac area, passed away May 25, 2012 at the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility. She was born September 2, 1938 in Pontiac, MI to the late Herman and Dorothy (Ridgeway) Hicks. She married Edward Shatto on February 22, 1958. He preceded her in death. Teddy as she was affectionately known, was born and raised in Oakland County and lived most of her adult life in the Milwaukee and Duluth She attended Oxford High School. She has resided for the last eight years at the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility. She enjoyed poetry, cooking, scrapbooks, and ceramics. Teddy is survived by her sons Walter and his wife Ann Shatto of Snover, and Jeffery Shatto of Arizona; three grandchildren; brothers, Elden and his wife Danita of Snover, Roger and his wife Janet of Millington; sisters, Dorothy Hicks-Burchwell and her husband William, Wendy Herbert, and Brenda Swift, all of Lapeer; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her son David Hicks. Memorial service for Twila will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, located at 635 East Forester Road, Sandusky, MI. Dr. Thomas J. Guertin, Pastor, will officiate.
