Kelly Guigar Young

Kelly Guigar Young, 45 of Harbor Beach and formerly of Bad Axe, passed away Friday morning, August 24, 2012 at Lakeview Extended Care Facility in Harbor Beach. She was born on October 20, 1966 in Bad Axe to Daniel and Beatrice (Hessling) Guigar. Kelly was a graduate of Bad Axe High School. She was employed at the A & W in Bad Axe for 10 years. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. She enjoyed playing cards, craft shows and babysitting. Kelly is survived by her parents, Daniel and Beatrice Guigar of Bad Axe; one brother, Anthony “Tony” Guigar of Bad Axe; two sisters, Kimberly (Thomas) Motz of Bad Axe, Kari (Douglas) Schember of Bay Port; one niece, Rachel Schember; three nephews, Shawn O’Parka, Jackson Motz and Evan Schember; many aunts and uncles. Kelly was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Daniel and Sabina Guigar and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Hessling. The funeral Mass will be 11 am Tuesday, August 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Rev. Robert Howe, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Monday from 1:30-9 pm and Monday from 10-11 am at the church only. There will be a parish vigil service Monday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
