Joseph N. Skrzypinski (Skipinski)

Mr. Joseph N. Skrzypinski ( Skipinski), 88 of Ubly, passed away Wednesday morning, February 5, 2014 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Joseph was born on May 24, 1925 in Ubly to the late Edward and Agnes (Dropiewski) Skrzypinski. He never married. Joseph was a graduate of the Ubly Elementary School. He worked on the family farm and was a strong, dedicated, hark worker. He was a parishioner at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. He lovingly took care of his sister Delores Ulfig for about 14 years. He loved to work in his garden and enjoyed sharing what he grew with others. He also enjoyed bird watching, listening to polka music and visiting with friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews. Joseph was a generous, happy go lucky people person and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Joseph is survived by one brother, Ronald Skipinski of Ubly; one sister, Bernice Becker and her husband, Armen, of Bad Axe; 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer; two sisters, Eleanor Franzel Koss and Delores Ulfig; many aunts and uncles. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am Saturday, February 8 at St. John Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 1:00-9:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am at the church only. There will be a parish vigil service Friday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
