Donald D. Jackson

Donald D. Jackson, 69 of Ubly, passed away Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center in Saginaw. Don was born on January 31, 1946 in Bad Axe to the late George Sr. and Elsie (Peter) Jackson. Don enjoyed being outside and cutting wood. He took a lot of pride in his well kept lawn. He cherished having family and friends at his home. Donald is survived by one daughter, Melissa Contreras and her husband, Al of Grand Rapids, Jason Jackson and his wife, Sarah of Port Hope, Jimmy Jackson and his significant other, Kari Nolan of Kinde; 10 grandchildren; one brother, George Jackson Jr. and his wife, Linda of Ubly. Don was preceded in death by his grandson, Kegan Jackson. The funeral service for Don will be 3:00 pm Saturday, February 28 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home. Pastor John Rapson, will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery of Ubly in the spring. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the service at 3:00 pm. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
