Matthew James Grant

Mr. Matthew J. Grant, 44 of Ubly, passed away unexpectedly, October 20, 2015 at his residence. Matt was born on July 9, 1971 in Harbor Beach to Allen Grant Sr. and Susann (Jarvis) Heck. Matt was a 1990 graduate of Ubly High School. He was currently employed at Bay City Bay Auto Brokers and was a true “grease monkey”. He loved working on cars and enjoyed car shows. He also enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Matt is survived by his father Allen Grant Sr. of Bad Axe, mother, Susann Heck of Ubly; two sisters, Annette Grant of Bad Axe and Darlene (Jeff) Rivard of Millington ; two step-brothers, Joseph (Jackie) Heck of St. Clair Shores, Frank (Leta) Heck of Verona; one step-sister, April (Lloyd) Walker of Capac; 10 nieces and nephews. Matt was preceded in death by one brother, Allen Grant; one step-brother Shane Heck; step-father Joseph Heck. A private family service will be held at a later date.
