Elloitt Edward Heiden

December 23, 1924 — August 15, 2016

Mr. Elliott "Poncho" E. Heiden, 91 of Minden City passed way Monday, August 15, 2016 at his nephew’s residence. He was born on December 23, 1924 in Charleston, MI to the late Edward Sr. and Alma (Faerber) Heiden. Elliott farmed with his father in his younger years. He always had a good joke to tell. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening and his family, especially his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Elliott’s family wishes to express a special thank you to Compassus Hospice of Cass City. Elliott is survived by one brother, Edward (Marie) Heiden of Minden City; one sister, Alma Bane of Edmund, OK; one sister-in-law, Audrey Heiden of Port Huron; many nieces and nephews, including his caregiver, Kurt (Judi) Heiden. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and William Heiden; one sister, Dorothea Klawon. The memorial service will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Smigielski Funeral Home on Cass Ave in Minden City. Rev. Robert Srock will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation with Elliott’s family will be at the Smigielski Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the service at 12:00 pm. Memorials have been requested to the Sanilac-Carsonville Animal Shelter or Compassus Hospice.
