Doreen M. Dickinson

Mrs. Doreen M. Dickinson, 68 of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at her home with her family by her side after a short illness. Doreen was born on April 4, 1949 in Bad Axe to the late John T. and Bertha (Kociba) Bukoski. She married Peter Dickinson on August 2, 2002 in Bad Axe. Doreen attended the St. John Catholic School and was a graduate of Ubly High School. She retired as a Paraprofessional from the HISD in Bad Axe in 2013. She was also a caregiver for residents in the Huron County area. She enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking. She was an avid walker for many years. Doreen cherished time spent visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren. Doreen is survived by her husband Peter Dickinson of Harbor Beach; three daughters, Tina (Michael) McKenzie of Bad Axe, Lisa Peruski of Ubly, Kristy (Rick) Moore of Minden City; eight grandchildren, T.J. Messing and his significant other, Laura Lubeski, Bryant Messing, Brandon Zdrojewski and his significant other, Elizabeth Eden, all of Ubly, Hunter Peruski and his fiancée, Faith Wignall, of Aguila, AZ, Griffin Peruski of Ubly, Danniele Moore and her boyfriend, Brian Dekoski of Harbor Beach; Tiffani Moore of Minden City, Gary Moore and his fiancée, Abbegale Owens of Minden City; two great grandchildren Brayden Polega of Ubly and Levi Dekoski of Harbor Beach; two step daughters, Milissa (Dean) Stacer of Plymouth, Lisa (Kristofer) Kaufman of Lake Orion; six step grandchildren, Kaylee Robles and Arianna Stacer of Plymouth, Hunter, Jack, Ava and Sophia Kaufman of Lake Orion. She was preceded in death by one sister Barbara Bukoski; one brother, Laverne Bukoski; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Archie and Doris Dickinson. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 21 at St. John Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly, Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Wednesday from 2-9 pm and Thursday from 10-11 am at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. There will be a family rosary Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm at the funeral home. Memorials have been requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
