Adeline Clare Jurgelonis

Adeline Clara Jurgelonis, 100 years old of Petoskey and formerly of Parisville, MI passed away on September 9, 2022. 

She was born on May 23, 1922 in Parisville Twp, MI to the late John and Clara (Kubacki) Hill. She married Clement Gentner on June 21, 1941 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville, MI.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 1984. She was married to Joseph Jurgelonis on July 2, 1994.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 1999.

Adeline truly enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, dancing and baking.  She was the President of the Big Daddy Lackowski Polka Band Booster Club.

Adeline is survived by a son, James (Jackie) Gentner of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Linda (Earle) Caldwell of Petoskey, MI, five grandchildren, Robert, Todd, Kevin Gentner and Shawn and Jody Caldwell; nine great grandchildren, Johnathon, Harrison, Hayden, Justin, Triston, Chais and Garret Gentner of AZ, Addison and Morgan Caldwell of Howell, MI.

She was preceded in death by a brother and his wife, Gerald and Mayme Hill; two sisters, Marian Bodalski and Julia Gouine.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Isidore Parish in Ruth. Rev. Robert Kelm, pastor, will officiate.  She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on September 15, 2022 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm.  There will be a rosary Thursday afternoon at the funeral home at 4 pm. recited by the St. Isidore Rosary Sodality.
