Billy J. Fuquay III, 26, of Ubly, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, at McKenzie Health Systems in Sandusky, Michigan.
Billy was born to Chastity (Jones) Grifka and Billy Fuquay Jr on July 14, 1996, in Evansville, Indiana. He graduated from Windover High School in 2016.
Billy was a true American patriot. He felt that his purpose in life was to support and protect those around him. Billy joined the Army National Guard, becoming a third-generation military man. While serving his country, Billy found that there was no greater bond than that between him and his fellow members of his infantry regiment.
Growing up, Billy enjoyed building things with Legos, miniature models, and spending time with his step-grandpa Harper. After being honorably discharged from the United States Military, he found himself enjoying time with his family, collecting firearms, and proudly riding his new Honda motorcycle.
Billy is survived by his Mother, Chastity (Douglas) Grifka; his Father Billy (Nina) Fuquay Jr.; his Sister Elisabeth Perry; Step-brother Brendan Grifka; Step-sister Tayler Grifka; Sister Grace Fuquay; Step-brother Shane Fuquay; maternal Grandparents James and LaVerne Jones; Aunt Melody (Herschel) Holley and their four children; Uncle Michael (Cathy) Jones and their two children; Aunt Charity Smock with her two children; Uncle Jonathan Jones; Uncle Jacob (Rachel) Jones with baby to come; paternal Grandparent Mary Stone; Uncle Jerry (Penny) Fuquay with two children; Aunt Rhonda Wildman with four children; Great Step-grandparents Donald and Shirley Kulish; Step-grandparents Larry and Sherry Grifka; Step-aunt Nicole (Douglas) Michalski with their three children; Step-uncle Tim (Jennifer) Grifka with their 3 children; Step-grandparents David and Ethel Harper; and his girlfriend Crystal and her son.
