Earl Anthony Roberts

Earl Anthony Roberts, 82 of Ubly, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

            He was born on January 6, 1938, son of the late Anthony and Amelia (Frank) Roberts.

            Earl was a graduate of Our Lady of Lake Huron High School I Harbor Beach. He worked for 30 years in the grocery industry and spent a decade working as a carpenter. His favorite job was indulging in his passion for golf by working at the Ubly Heights Gold Club in Ubly, of which he was a member. Earl was a master gardener, toymaker and woodworker.

            Earl is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet (Rutkowski) Roberts; daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Abramson of Escanaba, MI, Laurie (Paul) Furioso of South Lyon, MI; sons, Kevin (Diana) Roberts of Brown City, Jeffery (Danielle) Roberts of Harrison Twp, MI, Gregory (Cynthia) Roberts of Canaan, NY; grandchildren, Shelby, Sarah, Tara, Joseph, Gary, Cevin, Tylor, Candy, Virgil, Destiny, Kayden, Gabriel, Jordan, Joel, Nicole, Callan, Shane, Logan, Braden, Christian, Derek and Amanda; great grandchildren, Rylee, Elena, Aiden, Laney and Miles; one sister, Irene (Orville) Palowski of Troy, MI; sisters in law, Christine (Kenneth) Roggenbuck of Harbor Beach, MI, Sarah Rutkowski of Livonia, MI Ann Essenmacher of Bad Axe, MI, Dorothy Roberts of Harbor Beach, MI Mary An Roberts of Lansing, MI.

            Earl was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wilfred, Roberts, Alice Roberts, Raymond (Donna) Roberts, Doris Roberts, Delbert (Barbara) Roberts, Kenneth Roberts.

            A Life celebration for Earl is being planned for the summer of 2021.
