Gladys Gertrude Priemer

Mrs. Gladys G. Priemer, 91 of Ruth, passed away, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Courtney Manor Nursing Facility in Bad Axe.

            Gladys was born on September 19, 1927 in Ruth to the late William and Mary (Emming) Messing She married Jerome A. Priemer on December 27, 1947 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1990.

            Gladys was a graduate of the Sts. Peter & Paul Elementary School. She was a caregiver for her family. She was a lifelong parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Holy Apostles Parish in Ruth where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and helped at many Mama Ruth Picnics. Gladys enjoyed cooking and gardening.

            Gladys is survived by one daughter, Janice (Robert) Fischer of Florida; one son, Jerome (Brenda) Priemer of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Robert Hessling of Ruth.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Hessling, five brothers and four sisters.

Mass of Christian burial for Gladys will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Holy Apostles Parish in Ruth, Rev. Christopher Coman, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 23 from 10:00-10-45 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. The Holy Apostles Christian Mothers will recite a rosary for Gladys at 10:45 on Tuesday at church.
