Linda Jean Pionk

Linda Jean Pionk, of Bad Axe, age 70 passed away Sunday March 7th, 2021 at the Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe under hospice care.

She was born June 19th, 1950 in Bad Axe to the late Willis and Margaret (Page) Carson.

She was a 1969 graduate of Pontiac Northern High School.  She married Ronald Pionk on June 28th, 1969 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Pontiac MI.

Linda was a very dedicated hard worker who considered her co-workers family. Over the years she was employed at Hamill Manufacturing, Lyntex, and she retired from Gemini Plastics

Linda was a very generous person and donated to many charities. Her many hobbies included gardening, crocheting, reading, playing the organ, playing the lottery, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband Ronald of Bad Axe; Daughters, Christina (Daniel) Lubeski, Ubly, Rhonda (Mark) Chapin, Owendale; Son Randy (Kim) Pionk, Minden City; 5 Grandchildren, Matthew Lubeski (Rebecca De Grandt) , Megan Lubeski (Jonathan Hanselman) , Breydon Pionk, Olivia Chapin, and Laken Chapin; 1 great granddaughter, Randilyn Lubeski; 5 Step Granddaughters, Chelsea Chapin, Courtney Chapin, Tasha Fitch, Ashley Fitch, and Samantha House; 6 Brothers, Karl Page,  David Carson, Nicklolas Carson, Terry Carson, Larry Carson, Willis Carson; 2 Sisters, Malia Ivey and Sherry (John) Leitch; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Donald (Colleen) Pionk, Marjorie (Kenneth) Bugenski, Shirley (Richard) Cregeur,  Charles (Diane) Pionk, Janice (Edward) Carson, Diana (Gordon) Kociba, David Pionk and Gloria Froede.

Linda was preceded in death by her son, Corey John Pionk, her in-laws Edith and Ignatz Pionk, and brother-in-law Richard Pionk.

The funeral service for Linda will be 4:00 pm, Thursday, March 11 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Rev. Nate Harburg, pastor of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly, will officiate.  Linda will be laid to rest this spring in Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in Smith Corners.

 Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 noon until the service at 4:00 pm.

 Memorials have been requested for Linda’s family, care of her husband, Ronald.
