Mary Jane was preceded in death by her first husband Bernard J Warchuck Sr. her beloved infant daughter "Joanie" Joan Marie and her second husband Stephen Hook.

In 1950 Mary Jane married Bernard Warchuck Sr from Minden City, Mi.  They remained in the Thumb area for ten years before relocating to Detroit, Mi.  After Bernard’s sudden death in 1972, she continued to live in the Detroit area.  Mary Jane and Steve were married in Sept of 1992. They moved to Hale Mi. where she was active in the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post 7435 rising to the position of First Vice; the Red Hat Society, the local FISH resale store and St. Pius Catholic Church. In 2009 she relocated to Vassar Mi. and lived with her son Michael.  Using Vassar as her home base Mary Jane traveled far and wide to visit friends, family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Alaska, Florida, Kansas, and North Carolina. She also took many trips back to Hale to visit friends and Macomb County to visit her son, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.  She looked forward to attending the “MAMA RUTH” Chicken Dinner every chance she had.

Mary Jane permanently relocated to Waxhaw, North Carolina in 2019 after her surprise 90th birthday celebration in Michigan, which was attended by friends and family.  In Waxhaw, she lived with her daughter Janet and her husband Doug. Together they provided a safe, caring, and loving environment for her care. She suffered with memory issues and gradually required constant in-home care. Mary Jane passed into Jesus’ arms in the early hours of July 23, 2022, at the home of her daughter.

In the days prior to her death; BJ, Mike, Dave, and Bob joined Janet and Doug at their home in Waxhaw; everyone was able to spend precious time with her. It was special that all of her children had the ability to hug, tell stories and even shed some tears as her time was getting near.

Mary Jane always talked fondly of her wonderful childhood growing up on the “Artman Farm”, surrounded by many aunts and uncles.  Her days were carefree, playing and doing her chores; heck not everyone could walk the ducklings down to the pond. Mary Jane was a devoted Catholic, fierce protector of her children and their families. When asked who was her favorite she would reply with a smile: “Who’s ever house she was at”.
