Mary Claire Nowak

Mrs. Mary Claire Nowak, 82 of Ubly, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe of natural causes.

            She was born on August 12, 1939 in Detroit to the late John and Julia (Rouleau) Balog. She married Alger J. Nowak on April 31, 1960 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly.

            Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Alger of Ubly; her children, Colleen M. Rowan of Byron, OH, Kenneth J. Nowak and his wife, Marilyn, of Coto de Caza, CA, Julie M. Nowak of Owendale; ten grandchildren, Sheena L. Tran and her husband, John, of Laguna Hills, CA, Jenny Hart of Denver, CO, Mary Beth Munson and her husband of Brighton, CO, Breahna N. Manko and her husband, Ben, of Denver, CO, Skylynn B. Nowak of Petaluma, CA, Rachael N. McGlothlin and her husband, Adam of Gray Town, OH, Terah L. Koch and her husband, Cory, of Hilliard, OH, Michaela Shell of Bryan, OH.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynne Hart.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 3:00 pm, August 12, 2022 at the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Ubly.
