Nira M. Adair

Nira M. Adair, 86, of Snover, passed away Thursday, July 23 after a brief illness.

Nira was born January 7, 1934 to C. Barclay and Grace Hartshorn Moore in Marion Twp. She married Maurice Adair on November 14, 1953.

A staunch Republican, Nira was active in the Lions Club for many years with special affection for the Leader Dog program. Anyone who knew Nira will confirm that her greatest joy in life was her family.

Nira is survived by daughter, Shelly (Ric) Gaunt, granddaughters, Nikki and Jessica (fiancé Nick Dooley) and one grandson, Brad Ernest. Six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Lilly, Ada, Elias, Elissa, and Miles. One great-grandson, Grayson. Several nieces and nephews. Special niece, Mary Jane Johnson, who provided daily care and companionship.

Nira was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant son John David, sister Gween Moore Johnson, and brother Calvin Moore.

Cremation has taken place and, at Nira’s request, there will be no services.
