Robert B. Sierzputowski, (Bob Siers), 71, of Bad Axe, passed peacefully at his home on November 10, 2021. He was born on April 3, 1950 in Cass City, MI to the late Benjamin and Stella (Kopec) Sierzputowski. Bob grew up splitting time between the Detroit area and the Thumb and he attended Ubly High School. Bob was a talented musician and shared his gift as an accordion player for the Coachman band for 20 plus years. He also helped many kids find their own love for playing music while working for Kohn’s Music Store in Sandusky. A jack of all trades, Bob had many other jobs throughout his life, notably working many years at Rooster Ranch in Ubly. Bob was a devoted father and is survived by his children, Kimberly (Patrick) Dowd of Harbor Springs, MI, Janel (James) O’Morrow of North Branch, MI, and Bobbie (Jeremy Anderson) Sierzputowski of Indianapolis, IN; and his honorary daughter Tonia (Jim) Teffeteller from Bad Axe, MI and her three children, Taylor (Jon) Baumchen, Adrienne (Kyle) Artibee and their baby Auriella Artibee, and Michael Teffeteller who all lovingly referred to him as Uncle Bob. He will be remembered for his creativity, sense of humor, and great conversations. He was a loyal friend to those close to him. He loved to cook, and perfected many Polish dishes and sweets that he was always ready to share. Bob’s many interests included playing cards, going to the casino, meeting with the coffee crew, and enjoying time spending time with his friends and loved ones. Visitation will be held at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral home in Ubly, Michigan on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2pm to 6pm, with memory sharing at 5pm. There will be additional visitation Monday, November 15, 2021 from 11am to 1pm immediately followed by burial at St. Ingatius cemetery. Memorials may be offered to the Bad Axe Free Methodist Food Pantry.
